rule 175.2B states that the use of brakes is forever and ever and ever optional...
however, it is your responsibility to always return the plug to the ON position at the end of each heat AND it is your responsibility to check the brake plug before you begin a new heat. Any violations of rule 175.2B may result in the "punch in the arm rule" (see rule 1A) It could conceivably be possible for two guys to give and receive rule 1A punishment simultaneously.

I also seem to remember seeing the repeat offender or habitual offender clause in rule 1a. This was a sub section of 1a where the penalty enhancer is a knee strike to the groin, or to be tasered, violators choice.
